Electric In Screed Underfloor Heating
Electric radiant floors consist of electric cables built into the concrete floor or screed.
Systems that feature mats of electrically conductive plastic are also available and are mounted onto the subfloor below a floor covering such as a tile.
Electric floor systems are best suited to small areas less than 20m² such as bathrooms or ensuites due to the high running costs.
Electric floor heating systems are often combined with hydronic systems due to zoning requirements. Ensuites and bathrooms often require heating in the fringe seasons when the main hydronic areas may not be required.
