Built by Taylored Construction and completed in 2019 this Rosslyn Park home has hydronic in slab heating throughout the living, dining, kitchen hallway and wet areas. A 12Kw high efficiency heat pump provides heating to the 127m² area with a maximum energy consumption of only 1.7Kw per hour.
The herringbone parquetry timber floor is toasty warm throughout winter with running costs fully offset by the 5kw solar PV system.
It is a common misconception that underfloor heating is expensive to run and can not be used with timber floors. This project has shown how easily running costs can be fully offset and how effective hydronic underfloor heating is with timber floors.
